Bless the Lord!

Psalm 103:2-5
2Bless the LORD, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits: 3Who forgiveth all thine iniquities; who healeth all thy diseases; 4Who redeemeth thy life from destruction; who crowneth thee with lovingkindness and tender mercies; 5Who satisfieth thy mouth with good things; so that thy youth is renewed like the eagle's.

In this Psalm, David is saying “Bless the Lord, O my soul, and forget not all His benefits”. We should bless and praise the Lord and should not forget all His benefits to us humans. Count your blessings and see what God has done in your life. You will certainly go to Him with a heart full of praises.

We all desire to be forgiven of our sins and to be healed of our diseases. God is the only one who forgives our iniquities or sins and heals our diseases. He redeemed our life from destruction through Jesus Christ His only son, who bore all our transgressions on the cross of Calvary. It says in John 3:16 “16For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.” Today Jesus Christ sits on the right hand of God His father and is interceding for our sake as it says in Hebrews 7:25 “25Wherefore he is able also to save them to the uttermost that come unto God by him, seeing he ever liveth to make intercession for them.” What a love Jesus has towards God's people that He is interceding on our behalf!

He crowns us with loving kindness and tender mercies. He satisfies our mouth with good things. Our mouth desires the best of fruits and these fruits are the fruits of the Spirit mentioned in Galatians 5:22-23 “But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, 23Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law.” These fruits satisfy us for a lifetime. By eating these fruits your youth will be renewed like the eagles. Eagle is noted for strength, size, and keenness of vision and powers of flight. We all long for strength and power to get through our life’s journey here on earth especially to be Christ’s witnesses. So, let us all bless the Lord!
